Studio Policy
Our Mission
Bay Ridge Drum Lessons strives to achieve the highest standards in music education by providing the community with exceptional drum lessons for all ages.
Student & Family Obligations
Students agree to arrive at each lesson punctually, well prepared, and with their assignment books and music. For students to see continuing progress, daily practice and consistent weekly lessons are recommended. We want our students to completely understand every assignment and encourage them to ask questions when anything in the lesson is unclear.
Payment
Lessons are $40 for 30 minutes, $60 for 45 minutes, and $75 for 60 minutes.
Billing will be done on a week to week basis and is due at the time of lesson.
Acceptable forms of payment include cash, check, Venmo, Cash-app, Zelle, Paypal, & Apple Pay. Credit card is accepted as well, but requires an additional 3.5% service charge.
There are no refunds for Gift-Certificates and Pre-paid lessons. Pre-paid lessons may be redeemed up to 1 year after purchase.
Cancellation Policy
Please text/call/email as far in advance as possible if a lesson needs to be canceled or rescheduled for any reason. I will do my best to reschedule the lesson for a later day in the week. If rescheduling is not possible, the student will not be charged.
Lessons must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance of the lesson. After 2 cancellations with less than 24 hour notice, students will be charged for the lesson. Exceptions include family emergencies, illnesses, and weather related issues.
If students are feeling ill they are encouraged to stay home and reschedule their lesson for a later date. We try to maintain a healthy environment for all students and contagious student put other students at risk.
If the teacher needs to cancel a lesson for any reason, students will be offered times to make up the lesson later in the week. If no make-up time is possible, the student will not be charged for the lesson.
Parking
Finding street parking in Bay Ridge can be challenging. Please give yourself plenty of time to find legal street parking before the lesson. Quick Drop-off and Pick-up of students is fine, but please avoid blocking the road or parking or idling in “no parking” areas. It is not only illegal, but also may cause neighbors to file complaints to the city which jeopardizes the existence of Bay Ridge Drum Lessons.
